The Man, The Legend, The Ultimate Brah

Today, I was sitting with some colleges in a coffee shop between classes discussing important matters when a certain actor came up in the conversation that inspired me to write this post. That man is Nicholas Cage.

Now, you may be asking yourself "Why the fuck would you choose to write about Nicholas Cage?" This is a very appropriate question that I am going to answer later on. But first let's start with some background information that I have stole from a reliable source, wikipedia.

"Early life

Cage was born in Long Beach, California. His father, August Coppola, is a professor of literature, while Cage's mother, Joy Vogelsang, is a dancer and choreographer; the two divorced in 1976.[2][3] Cage's mother is of German descent and his father is of Italian descent (his paternal great-grandparents were immigrants from Bernalda, Basilicata).[4] His paternal grandparents are Carmine Coppola, a composer, and Italia Pennino, an actress. Through his father, Cage is the nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire, as well as the cousin of directors Roman Coppola and Sofia Coppola and actors Robert Carmine and Jason Schwartzman. Cage's two brothers are Christopher Coppola, a director; and Marc "The Cope" Coppola, a New York radio personality.[5] Cage was born into a Roman Catholic household and remains Catholic to this day, although he said in the mid-1990s that he was not religious.

When known for playing Jonny Cage in Mortal Combat, who attended Beverly Hills High School (the same high school as fellow entertainers Albert Brooks, Angelina Jolie, Lenny Kravitz, Slash, Rob Reiner, Richard Dreyfuss, Bonnie Franklin and David Schwimmer), aspired to act from an early age. Cage also attended UCLA School of Theatre, Film, and Television. His first non-cinematic acting experience was in a school production of Golden Boy. He is also good friends with fellow actor Johnny Depp, whom he advised to get into acting."

Now everyone can have their own opinion of Mr. Cage, but let me give you mine. He is a wonderful actor who always brings the same skill set to the table. He constantly has the same personality in each of his roles, no matter what character he's playing, and that takes talent. The man always has the same facial expressions in everyday life and in the cinema, the facial expressions that we have all come to love and adore.

Now some of you may be skeptical on this man. If you are indeed one of these people then allow me to say this, you are gay if you do not like Nicholas Cage. Not to mention he isn't a scientologist, not to point any fingers (Tom Cruise).

Nicholas Cage has acted in 61 movies and has won 31 awards. One of which was an Oscar for his role in "Adaptation". His current blockbuster appearance is in "Knowing" where he plays the role of John Koestler, a teacher who uncovers a time capsule which leads up to a series of events which allows him to ultimately save the world. Even though that sounds like every other role in every other movie he has acted in, it's not! It's completely different on so many levels!

Now, even though Cage has had all of this success, he continues to not let it go to his head. He still knows how to role with his bros. A source has recently stated that he saw Cage broing it up with some scotch and elephant walking with some close friends. That, my friends, is what we call a true bro and is why I decided to dedicate a whole post to an awesome man, Nicholas Cage.

On that note, I'm going to leave to enjoy the wonderful snowy night I have ahead of me. Always remember internet, keep your shit wired tight and never take scotch from a bro you do not know.
